Tangier, Morocco – The 16th edition of the international MEDays Forum will take place from November 27 to 30, 2024, in the city of Tangier, under the theme “Sovereignty and Resilience: Towards a New Global Balance.”
According to a statement from the Amadeus Institute and the MEDays Forum Foundation, the event, held under the high patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, will bring together over 250 high-profile speakers. These include heads of state, political leaders, Nobel Prize laureates, CEOs of major international companies, and influential personalities, all addressing an audience of over 6,000 participants from more than 100 countries.
The 2024 forum seeks to deepen global and continental discussions on strengthening national and regional sovereignties—covering institutional, political, territorial, security, economic, food, energy, and health domains. The forum also aims to foster collective resilience in response to ongoing global crises.
Organizers highlighted that MEDays 2024 will feature around 50 discussion sessions, focusing on various geostrategic issues, with special emphasis on the challenges and opportunities facing Africa and the Global South.
This year’s forum will also host the third edition of the MEDays Investment Summit (MIS), which will prioritize promoting investments in Africa, reaffirming the forum’s commitment to inclusive and sustainable development.
For the first time, the event will be held at the newly inaugurated Palace of Culture and Arts, located on Mohammed VI Avenue, along the Malabata Corniche in Tangier.
Since its inception in 2008, the MEDays Forum has established itself as a platform of “soft power,” reflecting Morocco’s proactive foreign policy, guided by the vision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI. Over the years, the forum has gained significant recognition, becoming a crucial meeting point for informal exchanges between political and economic stakeholders from around the world.
