German automotive supplier Mubea is going to open a new production facility in the Automotive City Tangier Med zone, according to the Moroccan news website, LeDesk.
The company specializes in manufacturing automotive components, and it expects to supply other companies in the area, such as Renault, with its products.
The announcement comes just days after Ravago and Repsol opened a new automotive components plant in Tangier, specializing in the production of plastic car parts.
Mubea’s plant aims to meet the growing demand for automotive components in Tangier’s Automotive City, create new jobs, and support economic development in Morocco.
In a related development, Repsol and Ravago are investing €20 million in a new plant to produce polypropylene, a key material in the automotive industry.
The plant will have an annual production capacity of 18,500 tons, with the possibility of increasing this capacity in the future.
The opening of these new plants marks a milestone in the development of Morocco’s automotive industry, attracting more foreign investment, and strengthening Morocco’s position as a regional hub for automotive manufacturing.
