Madrid – The amended Morocco-European Union agricultural agreement is a “historic opportunity” to bolster this increasingly essential bilateral cooperation, Spanish expert Pedro Ignacio Altamirano affirmed.
“This agreement is of special importance to the Kingdom’s Southern provinces in full socio-economic development,” Altamirano told MAP, reacting to Morocco and EU’s signing Friday in Brussels of the exchange of letters amending the agricultural agreement between the two countries.
To this academic, this agreement is the opportunity for both parties to boost their bilateral cooperation, geared towards a greater future.
Altamirano also welcomed the solid Morocco-EU ties spanning multiple areas, calling for further deepening this beneficial partnership to both parties.
Such a step promises to be, according to him, extraordinary for Europe and Spain, as it will bridge both shores of the Mediterranean and support the growth of a key actor to shared stability and progress.
