Korean Factory SEOUL Settles in Casablanca-Settat LOGINTEK Industrial Zone

Aljiha Post

Settat – SEOUL factory, a South Korean leader in eco-friendly straws, is currently under development and preparing for the launch of its production activities within the LOGINTEK industrial and logistics zone in Settat, Casablanca.

The establishment of this factory reflects foreign investors’ strong trust in Morocco’s industrial capabilities, Minister Delegate to the Head of Government in charge of Investment, Convergence and Evaluation of Public Policies, Karim Zidane told MAP on Thursday, during a site visit to LOGINTEK to monitor progress on construction.

According to the minister, the decision to establish this industrial unit in Morocco followed a partnership agreement concluded during an official investment roadshow in South Korea in November 2024. That initiative aimed to promote Morocco’s investment climate and present its competitive advantages, including political stability, modern infrastructure, and the availability of skilled human capital.

Once operational, the factory is expected to generate approximately 300 direct jobs, along with several hundred indirect skilled positions. Zidane further noted that Moroccan engineers have already undergone specialized training abroad in preparation for the start of production, ensuring a smooth transfer of expertise and integration into global industrial value chains.

LOGINTEK, the first fully integrated private industrial and logistics zone in Morocco, brings together production facilities, logistics platforms, administrative services, and innovation-focused infrastructure on a single site. Located in the heart of the Casablanca–Settat region, just 30 km from Mohammed V International Airport and 50 km from the Port of Casablanca, the zone offers direct access to major national and international markets via road, rail, and highway networks.

In the long term, LOGINTEK aims to create between 12,000 and 15,000 direct jobs and already hosts industrial operators from several countries, reinforcing its role as a key driver of industrial and economic development in the Casablanca–Settat region.
