Morocco has officially launched the Fiat Tris, the first fully electric three-wheeled vehicle by Fiat Professional, part of the Stellantis Group. The new model aims to revolutionize professional micromobility in the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region, leveraging Morocco’s growing automotive ecosystem as a key industrial and export hub.
🇲🇦 Designed in Italy, Engineered and Built in Morocco
The Fiat Tris was designed in Turin, Italy, and developed by the Stellantis Africa Technical Center in Casablanca, which employs over 4,000 engineers and technicians. It is manufactured at the Stellantis plant in Kenitra, with an annual production capacity of 65,000 units, primarily destined for regional markets across Africa and the Middle East.
📈 Strong Industrial and Investment Momentum
With the introduction of Tris, Stellantis has increased the Kenitra plant’s total production capacity to 535,000 vehicles per year, including 135,000 micromobility units. The group is also investing in hybrid engine production, electric tricycles, and EV charging stations, generating over 3,000 new jobs and reinforcing Morocco’s position as a strategic automotive hub.
Driving Inclusive and Green Economic Growth
Fiat Tris directly addresses the socio-economic needs of the region by providing an affordable, sustainable mobility option for delivery workers, artisans, freelancers, and young entrepreneurs. The vehicle is available through microfinance and bank loan options, enhancing access to reliable work-related transport and supporting economic inclusion.
Fully electric and safety-compliant, Tris is part of Stellantis’s commitment to carbon reduction, with local production following clean manufacturing standards aligned with Morocco’s green transition strategy.
