Morocco’s CESE, French Counterpart Bolster Bilateral Cooperation

Aljiha Post

Paris – President of Morocco’s Economic, Social and Environmental Council (CESE), Abdelkader Amara, and his French peer, Thierry Beaudet, signed on Wednesday signed at the Palais d’Iéna in Paris a guidance document outlining the areas of bilateral and multilateral cooperation aligned with the priorities of their respective institutions.

The signing took place as part of Amara’s visit to the French CESE, during which he was accompanied by the secretary-general and members of the Council. The visit was marked by his discussions with Beaudet on issues of common interest, with a particular focus on the future of their cooperation.

In addition to sharing best practices, the two Councils agreed to collaborate on several projects, including the mobility of young graduates, capacity building, citizen participation, and the role of both institutions within their African and Francophone umbrella organizations.

The two parties also decided to work together on developing a methodology to assess the impact of their work.

Amara also met, during a sharing session, with the 19 presidents of the constituent groups of the French CESE.

Highlighting the role of Morocco’s CESE, Amara emphasized the Institution’s work in analysis and opinion drafting, its support for major national projects, and its co-construction approach, based on listening to the nation’s active forces and engaging with citizens, particularly young people.

For his part, Beaudet expressed his pride in the exceptional quality of the partnership established between the two Councils and welcomed the relevance of the cooperation actions implemented.
