Morocco’s Minister of Transport and Logistics, Mohamed Abdeljalil, announced an increase in the number of weekly flights at Ibn Battuta Airport in Tangier. This is part of the ministry’s efforts to provide more options for Moroccan expatriates living abroad.
In this context, the minister said that his ministry is working to provide significant capacity for air and sea transport. He noted that the current number of weekly international flights stands at 4,000.
Abdeljalil pointed out that the number of weekly flights at Tangier Airport, for example, has increased from 300 to 450, an increase of 150 international flights per week.
With regard to sea transport, the Minister of Transport and Logistics indicated that the number of weekly crossings exceeds the capacity to transport 500,000 passengers per week in one direction.
