Casablanca Bourse Opens Higher Amid Mixed Stock Performance

Casablanca – The Casablanca Stock Exchange opened Tuesday’s trading session in positive territory, with its benchmark MASI index rising by 0.12% to 17,896.94 points.

The MASI 20, which tracks the 20 most liquid listed companies, edged down by 0.03% to 1,320.24 points. Meanwhile, the MASI ESG index, comprising companies with the highest environmental, social and governance ratings from Moody’s ESG Solutions, gained 0.21% to reach 1,281.96 points.

The MASI Mid and Small Cap index, which measures the performance of small- and medium-cap companies, also advanced by 0.16% to 1,770.02 points.

Among individual stocks, Fenie Brossette led the gainers, climbing 3.68% to MAD 310. Alliances rose by 2.36% to MAD 375, while CIH Bank gained 2.30% to MAD 349.45.

Med Paper increased by 1.88% to MAD 25.98, and CMGP Group advanced by 1.73% to MAD 324.

On the downside, M2M Group recorded the sharpest decline, falling by 6.09% to MAD 370. S.M. Monétique dropped by 4.35% to MAD 440, while Involys lost 3.94% to MAD 122.

Cash Plus also declined by 3.01% to MAD 241.40, and Colorado fell by 2.36% to MAD 77.52.

The mixed performance among individual stocks came after the MASI ended Monday’s trading session with a gain of 0.18%.
