Chinese Plywood Imports: Which Panels Are Exempt from Morocco’s 76% Duty?

Morocco’s 76% anti-dumping duty on plywood from China remains in force until August 28, 2027. A recent clarification specifies which panels may be exempt.

The exemption applies to a narrowly defined category of white birch plywood. To qualify, panels must be between 12 and 18 mm thick, consist entirely of white birch veneers, and meet the specified density and veneer-thickness requirements.

Importers seeking the exemption must provide an invoice endorsed by Morocco’s Department of Industry. The clarified rules took effect on September 25, 2026. The 76% duty continues to apply to other plywood covered by the measure.

For importers, the distinction depends on both the panels’ technical specifications and the required documentation.
